UPDATE!
Just learned that the discovery of King Richard's body was even more of a miracle than we thought. His grave came within inches of being destroyed.
“It’s a miracle that King Richard's skeleton was where it was," site director Mathew Morris of the university's archaeological services said in a written statement. "To the east, there is a massive disturbance that has removed all evidence of the church -- which must have come within inches of his head."

This is so very poignant, and I love the manner in which you present Richard's humanity, such as his perhaps vanity and mourning--and also his attempt at acceptance. He was, after all, human, just like us.
